Manage Morning Hunger: Tips to Curb Post-Dinner Appetite

“Do you think that eating a lot at night means you won't feel hungry the next morning?"

Wrong❗ In fact, you may feel even hungrier the next day~

🤔 Don't know why?

Hunger is usually caused by two reasons!

1) Gastric emptying

  • If you consume a large meal at night, your stomach works hard throughout the night to digest the food. By the next morning, your stomach is empty. This transition from a full to an empty state can trigger a strong "hunger feeling."

2) Blood sugar drop

  • After eating, blood sugar levels rise, and the body releases insulin to regulate it. However, overeating may cause prolonged high insulin secretion, which can lead to a drop in blood sugar levels the next morning——making you feel even hungrier.

To reduce morning hunger, you can try the following:

🟢Maintain regular meal times and avoid eating dinner too late.

⚪️Reduce intake of high-sugar an high-fat foods

🟢 Increase protein and fiber intake to improve satiety

⚪️Control portion size during dinner

🟢Drink more water, as thirst is sometimes mistaken for hunger

Remember: Avoid overeating at nigh. Having regular and balanced meals is important for maintaining healthy eating habits. 👍 And no matter how you feel, breakfast is still the most important meal of the day——don't forget to enjoy a good breakfast! 🍽
